Where have I been????

Wow...almost a year and a half since I last posted and I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I wonder if I get a prize for the longest gap between posts, hmmm.

It's 6:17 am and I can't sleep. Again. This seems to be a recurring problem lately. So much on my mind, I feel so restless yet I can't keep my eyes closed. Except of course when I need to get work done.

I've been so busy doing needle punch that I'm close to being burned out. My mind dreams of furry creatures and little dolls, linen and lace, buttons and trims. But needle punch pays the bills so on I go.

This is one of my designs, though believe it or not I'm already taking orders for Fall and Christmas. I guess it'll be here before you know it. I have on my frame 3 snowmen pins and a pumpkin ornie and a stack of snowmen and pumpkin orders. I'm hoping to have time to design some new Christmas and winter for this year. I finally got some new fall designs done...

4 am and I'm wide awake

Sigh...I went to bed early for a change so proud of myself for allowing myself to get a good nights sleep. Fell asleep fairly easily but woke up at 2 am and here it is 2 hours later and I sit here twiddling my thumbs. Maybe I should do a bit of, then I wouldn't be able to stop. But I have orders calling out to me and I can't sleep, have to get up at 6 am to get my girl up for school. But, maybe just a couple of punches on the needle punch, gotta sleep. This argument goes on and on and doesn't help me sleep...arghhhhhhhhh!!! If only I didn't need to sleep, ever, how much I could get done. Or if only one day a week was needed for sleep and the other 6 were for creating...never enough time. Guess I'll get off of here and try once again to get a bit of sleep. Thanks for stopping by and sweet dreams.

I went to the flea market they have here in town once a month mainly to buy this great coffee. It's instant but so yummy. As far as I know this in the only place to buy it other than her website. I'm not a coffee drinker, never liked the taste but this is so rich and decadent it's more like a gourmet hot chocolate. It's a lttle pricey at 6.95 a bag but it's so good I drink it as a treat once I finish working on a project, helps motivate me to get things done.

After we got our coffee and wandered a bit we left and went to the new indoor flea market on the other side of town. It used to be an outlet mall years ago and had sat vacant for years until a developer bought it, renovated it and turned it into the flea market. It opened last August and when it first opened it was fun. They had live music, a farmers market and lots of booths full of different and fun things. Now it is just sad to go there. Very few booths and what's there is socks, clothes, toys, your run of the mill flea market junk, and lots of booths with siding companies, roofers, etc. and you can't walk past them without being hollered at. They charge 500.00 a month for a tiny booth so it would be hard to make any real money to make it worth while. All of our favorite booths are gone. They have a nice little food court but $$$. Four of us sat down and ordered a hotdog and a drink each and it was 25.00. Could go to a nicer place for that knid of money.

Well, better get some stitching done before bed. Working on a new candle mat and hope to have it listed in my Etsy shop sometime this week.

Thanks for listening to me ramble, hope you have a wonderful evening!!

A New Start

It's a new year and my one resolution for this year is my Blog. After a few fizzled starts I am going to get this blog going. I feel like I'm in the dark ages. I've been around this internet for over 10 years selling my goods, reading blogs, playing with the Twitter and Facebook but have completely failed at this blogging stuff. So, here it is in writing, I'm going to be a blogging fool. Stop by, keep me motivated.

Off to the flea market for a bit of fun and to buy some yummy coffee but before I go here's a picture of one of my newest candle mats. (If I can remember how to upload a pic).

Wow...2 posts in one day!

Second post today, I know so surprising since I took such a long nap between posts last time. Anyway, I'm going to attempt to add picture to this post. If this works it's one of my needle punch mats I designed for fall. These are so sweet to just lay anywhere or to pin to a wall. It's listed in my Etsy shop right now (thetalkingcrow). I'm not sure how to add a link but that will come in time...I hope. Anyway, I hope you like my mat.

What the heck...'s only been 7 months since I posted my first post so I'm still learning. Hopefully life will stay out of the way for awhile and I can get this blog going. Again, I need to try to post a picture so here goes...Ack...I can't figure it out...but I will...promise.

My First post

At last I've decided to become a blogger. Not sure I'll have a lot to say that anyone wants to hear but I want to join in the fun. I'm just practicing so please keep that in mind. I'm going to try to add a picture to this post so we'll see if I can figure it out or if I need to go back to dreaming of being a blogger.

Here's a picture of one of my most popular items, my 3 little needle punch snowman ornies. I punched these with 6 strands of DMC floss and I think they are so cute.

Ok, so far so good. I think I'll stop while I'm ahead and try another post tomorrow. Night.
