4 am and I'm wide awake

Sigh...I went to bed early for a change so proud of myself for allowing myself to get a good nights sleep. Fell asleep fairly easily but woke up at 2 am and here it is 2 hours later and I sit here twiddling my thumbs. Maybe I should do a bit of stitching...no, then I wouldn't be able to stop. But I have orders calling out to me and I can't sleep anyway...no, have to get up at 6 am to get my girl up for school. But, maybe just a couple of punches on the needle punch frame...no, gotta sleep. This argument goes on and on and doesn't help me sleep...arghhhhhhhhh!!! If only I didn't need to sleep, ever, how much I could get done. Or if only one day a week was needed for sleep and the other 6 were for creating...never enough time. Guess I'll get off of here and try once again to get a bit of sleep. Thanks for stopping by and sweet dreams.

Coffee

I went to the flea market they have here in town once a month mainly to buy this great coffee. It's instant but so yummy. As far as I know this in the only place to buy it other than her website. I'm not a coffee drinker, never liked the taste but this is so rich and decadent it's more like a gourmet hot chocolate. It's a lttle pricey at 6.95 a bag but it's so good I drink it as a treat once I finish working on a project, helps motivate me to get things done.

After we got our coffee and wandered a bit we left and went to the new indoor flea market on the other side of town. It used to be an outlet mall years ago and had sat vacant for years until a developer bought it, renovated it and turned it into the flea market. It opened last August and when it first opened it was fun. They had live music, a farmers market and lots of booths full of different and fun things. Now it is just sad to go there. Very few booths and what's there is socks, clothes, toys, your run of the mill flea market junk, and lots of booths with siding companies, roofers, etc. and you can't walk past them without being hollered at. They charge 500.00 a month for a tiny booth so it would be hard to make any real money to make it worth while. All of our favorite booths are gone. They have a nice little food court but $$$. Four of us sat down and ordered a hotdog and a drink each and it was 25.00. Could go to a nicer place for that knid of money.

Well, better get some stitching done before bed. Working on a new candle mat and hope to have it listed in my Etsy shop sometime this week.http://www.etsy.com/shop/thetalkingcrow?ref=si_shop

Thanks for listening to me ramble, hope you have a wonderful evening!!

A New Start

It's a new year and my one resolution for this year is my Blog. After a few fizzled starts I am going to get this blog going. I feel like I'm in the dark ages. I've been around this internet for over 10 years selling my goods, reading blogs, playing with the Twitter and Facebook but have completely failed at this blogging stuff. So, here it is in writing, I'm going to be a blogging fool. Stop by, keep me motivated.

Off to the flea market for a bit of fun and to buy some yummy coffee but before I go here's a picture of one of my newest candle mats. (If I can remember how to upload a pic).
